Wildlife Conservation

The faculty in Wildlife Conservation are constantly striving to improve conservation efforts for imperiled species across the globe.  Their research programs focus on understanding the biological, social, and political issues that have led to reductions in populations of threatened and endangered species, and they work to develop solutions to those population declines.  From reptiles and amphibians suffering from habitat degradation in the Southeast to lemur populations in Madagascar that are threatened by human development, our wildlife conservation faculty study a diverse array of species.  Employing the most modern technology available and working cooperatively with numerous conservation partners, our faculty, research associates, and graduate students are finding the answers that are needed to sustain healthy populations of wildlife for current and future generations.
