Online Master of Natural Resources Degree
The College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment comprehensive online Master of Natural Resources (MNR) degree is an interdisciplinary course-based non-thesis graduate program designed for current and aspiring professionals who wish to enhance their educational credentials through distance learning and increase their knowledge and skills to develop workable solutions for complex challenges affecting the regulation and management of natural resources and implementation of environmental policy.
This 30-credit hour professional degree is manageable to students of diverse academic backgrounds and busy work schedules and allows for the student to tailor the degree to their career interests and goals, including management positions in natural resource-focused government and nonprofit agencies. Our diverse curriculum trains students with the latest technologies and theories to hone their critical thinking and problem-solving skills applicable to current industry and specific issues within the field of natural resource management.
The MNR graduate program can be customized with a broad spectrum of courses to balance economic, health and environmental interests, including a combination with one or more of the online certificate programs in Restoration Ecology, Forest Finance and Investment or One Health. The non-thesis MNR degree is also convenient and flexible, allowing students to complete their degree entirely online or through a combination of online and on-campus courses.

Enrollment
To participate in the Online Master of Natural Resource program, students must apply to the Auburn University Graduate School. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores are not required.
Entrance to the program and AU Graduate School requires a 2.75 GPA. However, exceptions can be made if sufficient justification for the exception is provided to the CFWE Graduate Program Office.
Applicants are required to submit the online application to be admitted as a non-degree student, pay the online application fee ($60 or $70 domestic vs. international respectively) and submit transcripts for the highest degree they currently hold. International applicants must also submit an English proficiency score.
Students may enroll three times per year to begin their coursework in the spring, summer or fall semesters. All application materials must be received no later than 45 days before the first day of class of the semester. Fees
The Online Master of Natural Resource program requires 30 credit hours at $546 per credit hour. Tuition costs are subject to change depending on the chosen curriculum.
