Student Experiential Learning

Experiential learning is the process of learning through experience. At CFWE we actively promote and facilitate opportunities for our students to apply their classroom learning in real-world environments as part of their development.  As a student and future job-seeker, you will find these experiences are also beneficial for meeting other students who share your interests, networking and learning from industry-related professionals and potential employers.

Whether you volunteer or take part in an internship, field experience or trip, or become involved with student organizations; you will find these situations to be opportunities to hone your skills and to develop new ones that will not only broaden your perspective and build your resume, but will make you a more well-rounded, knowledgeable, and confident person; all traits that will help you to become an effective leader and competitive job candidate.

To take advantage of these learning opportunities, consider becoming involved with our student clubs, speak to your advisor about potential internships, take advantage of travel opportunities, volunteer to help with CFWE events and activities, participate in course-related field experiences, or register with AU’s IMPACT volunteer program.
