Geospatial & Environmental Informatics

Our faculty are experts in the use of geographic information systems (GIS), global positioning systems (GPS), Lidar, and satellite-based remote sensing to create environmental informatics and models of large data sets to visually demonstrate complex layers of information for the purpose of evaluating and addressing societal problems, such as drought, food and water scarcity, environmental impacts, and climate change.
