Conference Overview

DAY 1 (10/7/24): Meet, Mix & Mingle

Arrival/registration will begin at 3 pm CST at The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center. A welcome reception will follow at 5 pm. Exhibitors are encouraged to complete setup during night one.

DAY 2 (10/8/24): Presentations, Panels & Posters

After breakfast, keynote speakers will share their insights via presentations and a Q&A panel. A poster session with networking opportunities and dinner will follow.

DAY 3 (10/9/24): Talk, Table & Tour

On day three, attendees can stay at the venue for discussion and networking or join a local tour and demonstrations at the Auburn University Structural Engineering Lab, College of Architecture, Design and Construction, and the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center clt-constructed Environmental Education Building. Transportation will be provided.

DAY 4 (10/10/24): Travel & Tour

After the conference has concluded, attendees are invited to participate in a complimentary tour of Ponce City Market, a Class A complex located in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 9:30 – 11 a.m. ET. 619 Ponce is Georgia’s first locally grown and sourced mass timber building. Ponce City Market is a popular destination for locals and visitors. It is located in the Old Fourth Ward (650 North Avenue, NE Atlanta, GA 30308).  PCM is only 12 miles from the Atlanta Airport and typically a 20-minute drive.

The southern yellow pine cross-laminated timber (CLT) market in the South is buzzing. This earth-friendly, cost-effective, fire-resistant, versatile material is the future. At this conference, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from and innovate alongside industry professionals with backgrounds in forestry, building science, engineering, architecture, design, and sustainable business.

Q: How do I contact the organizer?

Q: Do I need to bring a printed ticket or proof of registration to the event?

A: No, we will have all registrations documented. Please wear your name badge so you can be easily recognized and identified.

Q: What is the refund policy?

A: 100% refund up to one month before the conference and 50% refund thereafter. If the conference is postponed or canceled, refunds will be issued in full. To request a refund, contact our conference coordinator at cltconference@auburn.edu.

Q: What materials will be provided to exhibitors?

A: Each exhibitor will receive a table (either 6′ x 30″ or 6′ x 18″) and two chairs. Exhibits will be located centrally in the Prefunction Foyer and the Prefunction Hall of the Dixon Conference Center. Please specify in your registration if your team requires special accommodations.

Q: What materials will be provided to poster presenters?

A: Each presenter will receive an easel with a foam board for mounting posters. Pushpins will be provided. Posters of standard size (3′ x 4′) or smaller are encouraged. The poster session will occur on the evening of Tuesday, October 8. However, presenters are welcome to set up posters to be viewed throughout the conference upon arrival.
