Forest Policy and Economics

Through the disciplinary and interdisciplinary research of the Forest Policy Center, CFWE research explores forest policy affecting the United States in an increasingly globalized economy where environmental and social concerns present constraints and opportunities to local, regional, and national forest economies.

Faculty are engaged in research and analysis pertaining to property rights, environmental policy, political and institutional economics, forest products trade, forest investment and finance, timber and forest products markets, land use change, ecosystem services, forest management and conservation, forest-based economic development, recreation, and international forestry.
