75th Anniversary Dean’s Forum & Alumni Social with Dr. James Shepard

Auburn University will host a virtual Dean’s Forum and Alumni Social with Dr. James Shepard on Thursday, January 20, as part of the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences’ 75th Anniversary Celebration.
An expert in forest soils, forest ecology, and wetlands policy, Dr. James Shepard, former professor and associate director of the Forest and Wildlife Research Center at Mississippi State University, was appointed dean of the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences effective January 3, 2011. Among Dr. Shepard’s achievements as dean, he oversaw the fundraising and construction of the Solon and Martha Dixon Foundation Learning Center, completed in 2012, the first official wildlife summer field practicum, and the implementation of the new undergraduate major, Natural Resources Management.
Dr. Glenn Glover, alumnus and emeritus professor, will serve as moderator of the question-and-answer forum. Following the discussion, attendees are invited to remain on the Zoom to participate in the alumni social.
