DESCRIPTION:Alabama Extension Home Grounds Team knows that for a school’s outdoor classroom to be successful it must be grown and maintained correctly. The STEM in the Garden course will train teachers and outdoor classroom volunteers on basic gardening principles\, ways to align the Alabama gardening calendar with your school year calendar\, and solutions to common problems associated with outdoor classrooms. STEM in the Garden will strengthen your garden knowledge while maximizing your school garden’s STEM teaching capability. The STEM in the Garden course will train teachers and outdoor classroom volunteers on basic gardening principles\, ways to align the Alabama gardening calendar with your school year calendar\, and solutions to common problems associated with outdoor classrooms.  STEM in the Garden will strengthen your garden knowledge while maximizing your school garden’s STEM teaching capability. DESCRIPTION:Forestland owners should plan to attend Getting the Most from Your Forestland\, the latest forestry workshop from Alabama Extension. It will be Aug. 28\, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Scottsboro VFW Post in Scottsboro\, Alabama.
